I dont know if they have done it in the UK, In that case Sikh's should not be able to wear a turbin & christians a Cross.

hi think its preety stupid 2 ban hijaab its a part ov a religion y du ppl gav a prob wif it i honestli i dnt gt it...
i agree dey shud ban da cross nd da turbin...

I don't see a prob with sporting a hijab, cross or turbin in school. It's ones personal choice at the end of the day. I think the whole face covering should be banned though if it hasn't been already. I think looking at someone face is essential when it comes to communication and is especially important at a place like school.

u cant say that, what u can say is if they ban the Hijab they have to ban the turban.

its individuals right to wear the turban, Hijab or the cross.

well i believe in religous freedom and seein as britan is a multi-cultural everyone should be able 2 wear wt they want n practice der religion so if da scarf is banned so shud otha religous clothing or items b banned as well otha wyz its nt fair!

Sometimes I feel all religion should be banned in school expect when taught in RE. Indoctrination should start in the home

I hated it when they used to read stuff from the bible in assembly. Now that I know that in Islam, christanity should be respected, I wouldn't mind if i ave kids n they were told some of the stories from the bible.

Banning the hijab?

Why? Isn't the 21st century meant to be democratic? UK will never do it! If they ban the hijaab then a suggestion; with all do respect they should ban all other items/clothes which symbolise other religions. Seems fair don't you think?
